Where have the Robertsons been recently?

I’ll give you a hint …
Mike’s brother and his family live in Austin and we just couldn’t resist the opportunity to see all of them, taste amazing BBQ and attend the BYU vs. Texas Longhorns game -- all in an extended weekend. The latter event we’ll gloss over with a few fun pictures – as we don’t want to belabor the sting of that sad, one-point loss.

Split loyalties: Elise was born in Austin.
Our nephews Matt & Tyler (and Matt's "friend" Kayla)
While in Texas we also attended another football game. Our nephews’ high school football team has won the last four state championships – an unprecedented state record. You haven’t seen high school football until you’ve attended a Texas game!
Press box, jumbotron, massive stands. Don't remember our high school games looking like that.

Birthday Celebration!

Princess tiara? Check.

Festive decorations and royal treatment? Check. Check.

Brittany was so sweet to watch Justin while I napped. He just loves her!

My all-time favorite meal: Salmon Dinner? CHECK.

Our sis-in-law, Melissa, did a fantastic job!

A cookie cake reminiscent of my childhood? CHECK!

All made possible by my wonderfully thoughtful hubby, Mike!

Thank you, Babes!!

Best Baby EVER: First Plane Ride
As mentioned in previous posts, Justin has traveled quite a bit in his short, four months of life. He’s been beyond mellow – sleeping through roaring crowds at football games, chillin’ in his carseat on long road trips, flashing smiles and giggles at family and strangers alike, and now … tolerating a three hour plane ride like a champ. Justin, we know that the day may come when you express more feisty opposition to our travel plans. But for now, thanks for making it all so enjoyable! We love you, little guy.
