That’s right, folks. We’re movin’ up in the world! Since April of last year Mike and I have shared a bedroom with a small, somewhat restless roommie, and the time has come – and gone—to part ways. (For the night time hours, that is.) As of February, the babes will have a room of his own and more square footage to raze, er, … “explore.” Although leasing a two-bedroom apartment may not excite many, those who know all too well the real estate prices in Silicon Valley can relate to our enthusiasm. During our apt hunt we kept our list short and (seemingly) simple: 2-bdrm, carpet, updated kitchen & bath -- all at a reasonable price for the area. There were times of despair and frustration, but we pressed on. Hoping. Waiting. And then …
A good deal, at last! Mike flexed his strong negotiation muscles (so hot!) and the good deal became even better. And so, while we continue to save for our future home-sweet-home, we bid adieu to 1-bedroom living. Here’s hoping – for good!
…*sigh*… Now to tackle the moving part. (Pics to follow!)

ReplyDeleteoh wow your a trooper to go this long...Turin had to share a room with us until he was 6 months and i thought that was way too long but we had no choice till we moved...half the time he was sleeping in our walk in closet..sad I know! ha

ReplyDeleteYay...it is so nice to have a room of your own (until the little guy discovers he can mozie on over to mom and dad's room for a while). At least half of the night though, the room is OURS...wohoo!!
